Position Details:

• Position: Tactical Security Guard
• Site: Commercial Building
• City: Downtown Toronto
• Job Type: Full time, Permanent
• Hours: Various Shifts, must be flexible, available for days/afternoons/nights
• Pay Rate: Up to $18.22/HR

Job Requirements:

• Valid Ontario Security Licence
• Valid First Aid & CPR certificate (if it is expired, we will provide you the training free of cost)
• Open availability and can work days/afternoons/nights
• Minimum 6 months of tactical experience required
• Strong team player
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Working knowledge of computer application skills (Word, Excel, emails, typing)
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• General knowledge of Health and Safety practices
• Police Foundations, or any education Law Enforcement related is an asset

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Take direction from Security Supervisor/Security Management on site
• Respond to various calls for service as well as provide first responder services for all security and life safety emergencies and incidents
• De-escalate all emergency and crisis situations
• Interior/exterior patrols of premises
• Enforce property regulations, Criminal Code, and legislative statutes
• Secure restricted areas
• Keep memo book up to date including completing reports at the end of shift
• Obtain statements and collect information for incident reports
• Enforce Trespass to Property Act and situations when arrests are made
• Basic knowledge and use of integrated security systems is required
• Monitor CCTV surveillance systems if needed
• Expected to be physically capable of performing the required duties
• Other duties as assigned
